Hello, We’re just a few days from our first quarterly fundraising deadline of the year. I’m about to ask you to make a grassroots contribution of any amount to help us reach our goal, but first, I want to take a minute to explain why this deadline is so important. At the end of each fiscal quarter, our campaign fundraising numbers become publicly available through the FEC. And as soon as that happens, politicos, pundits, and the media pore through our sheets to see how strong our movement is — and if there are any vulnerabilities our opponents can exploit. Fundraising deadlines also help us plan our budget for the coming months. After each quarter, my team and I sit down and plan out our spending for the next three months. If we don’t reach our fundraising goal in time, we’ll have to scale down our budget and pull back on our investments — like supporting Democrats in frontline races. The truth is, there’s too much at stake to fall behind now. Thanks to our majority in the Senate, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to change the status quo for good.
