John,
Today is Equal Pay Day, signifying how far in the calendar year women have to work to earn as much as their male counterparts did in the previous year.
Folks, it’s March 24th. That means it has taken women almost 15 months to earn what men did in 2020?!
Despite decades of well documented pay discrimination, women still make just 82 cents for every dollar a man takes home — this gap is even wider for women of color.
Achieving equal pay for equal work will require vigorous enforcement of equal pay laws and thoughtful leadership aimed at ending discriminatory pay practices — and it will require that women have a seat at the table. That’s why I’m running for Lt. Governor, because I know in my heart that we need a fierce advocate for all women in Richmond.
Will you join me in fighting for women’s rights and equality by making a contribution toward our historic campaign today? From increasing access to reproductive rights to ensuring equal pay, I will fight every day to make sure we have a seat at the table, John.

From leading the Women’s March in 2017 to introducing and ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment in the House of Delegates, fighting for women’s equality has always been a top priority of mine. But our work is far from over.
It will take every single one of us working together to achieve true equality. I hope you will join me in recommitting to that future.
