Governor Parson to Visit St. Louis Area Vaccination Events?

(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) ? On Thursday, March 25, Governor Mike Parson will travel to the St. Louis area to visit the Mega Vaccination Event at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park and the state-supported vaccination event at The Family Arena in St. Charles.?

Governor Parson will be available for the media from 9:30 - 9:45 a.m. at the St. Louis Community College at Forest Park vaccination event and from 10:30 - 10:45 a.m. at The Family Arena in St. Charles.?

The Mega Vaccination Event at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park and the vaccination event at The Family Arena in St. Charles are part of a series of events being held to vaccinate up to 18,000 people in the St. Louis area through state-supported clinics alone in just three-days. An additional state-supported vaccination event will be held at the Greensfelder Recreation Complex at Queeny Park.

Key Messages

To help ensure a successful event, we ask that the media share the following message. Those receiving a vaccination should:

  • Arrive on time for their appointment - please do not arrive early or late
  • Bring their photo ID
  • Bring their registration number that was emailed to them or provided when they scheduled their appointment
  • Vaccinations will be administered only to eligible individuals with an appointment.

Logistic notes for media attending events:

  • Media should bring their credentials/IDs
  • Safety and privacy are priorities ? please follow directions given by on-site personnel and ask for permission prior to recording anyone in the vaccination area
  • Parking (follow local signage and directions):
  • Louis Community College ? Forest Park: Parking Garage and Lot B
  • Vehicles should enter the parking area through Macklind Avenue off Oakland Avenue
  • Parking garage - Level 1 is reserved for people with limited mobility. Levels 2 & 3 is available for all other parking.
  • Lot B located at the corner of College Drive and Highland Drive is designated as an overflow lot.
  • The Family Arena: Anywhere in the designated parking areas
    • Please note that due to forecasted rain on Thursday, March 25, the event at Family Arena has been moved indoors. Currently, Friday and Saturday?s events at this site will be conducted outdoors.

Additional opportunities?for COVID-19 vaccinations:

  • State-supported events are not the only vaccine clinics being held in the St. Louis area this weekend.
    • High throughput hospitals, pharmacies, local health departments, and other community providers receive the vast majority of the state's vaccine allotment and hold various vaccination clinics throughout the week.
    • Missourians can use the Vaccine Navigator to find additional vaccinators in their area or contact local health care providers directly.??
