Along with Mad's work fighting for critical COVID relief, expanding access to the ballot box, advocating for immigrants' rights, and common sense gun violence legislation, Mad has been hard at work in Washington to keep her promises on our top priorities.

Here's the latest:

Healthcare: Each year, the opioid crisis impacts millions of families in every crevice of our country. The Fairness in Orphan Drug Exclusivity Act will prevent loss of life by expanding access to a wide range of new medication-assisted treatments to create more options in the marketplace. (H.R. 1629)

Curbing gun violence: The Undetectable Firearms Modernization Act will combat developments in technology that have allowed for the creation of plastic guns that are undetectable. These technologies have generated fear that instigators may attempt to use undetectable firearms to circumvent security systems and inflict harm. (H.R. 1477)

Advocating for servicemembers: Servicemembers make extraordinary sacrifices on our behalf. The last thing they need is harassment from manipulative debt collectors who take advantage of their service. Mad’s legislation will put a stop to those practices. (H.R. 1491)

Fighting the opioid epidemic: Illicit drug use disorder is the most stigmatized health condition in the world. The END Stigma Act establishes a university grant program to educate students on substance use disorder treatment options. (H.R. 868)
