This year, we can elect a huge slate of out candidates to city councils and other local seats around the country. When elected, these candidates will be able to influence local budgets and local equality legislation. As more and more out candidates run for state and local offices, they do the essential legwork of normalizing out voices on the campaign trail in a unique way.
