Dear
SPUC supporter,
As you know, we are still engaged in a tough battle to stop at-home DIY abortion becoming a permanent policy in Britain.
Thanks once again to everyone who has joined in this campaign – whether by writing to your MP, sending letters to your local newspaper, or making a submission to your government’s consultation.
We are currently waiting for an official response to the consultation from the Department of Health and Social Care in Westminster and also from the governments of Scotland and Wales. We will be in touch as soon as we have these responses.
What now?
Our next key activity is to make sure that politicians and ministers are aware of the poor evidence which is being used to support DIY abortion being made permanent.
We have produced a new briefing document setting out further evidence against DIY abortion.
We are asking you to:
- Please send this briefing to your MP, or to your MSP if you live in Scotland or your MS if you live in Wales.
- Please write a personal letter/email to accompany the briefing, asking your MP/MSP/MS to lobby:
- Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care - if you live in England.
- Jeane Freeman, Minister for Public Health and Sport - if you live in Scotland.
- Vaughan Gething, Minister for Health and Social Services - if you live in Wales.
We are asking SPUC supporters in each constituency in Britain to do this, so that every MP receives this vital information. Please do not worry about whether your MP receives more than one copy.
You can either download the briefing from our website, or order paper copies by emailing [email protected].
With my heartfelt thanks for all you do to defend unborn life,
Antonia Tully
