Representing Americans in Congress is a sacred honor. The people of Northeastern Pennsylvania have selected me to be their voice in Washington, and each and every day I work to fight for them and represent their interests.
That’s why I’ve pushed to speed up our mail delivery, directed millions in federal dollars back home, and fought for pivotal pro-worker provisions in the recent COVID-19 relief bill. It’s not always glamorous work, but so many people are counting on me to get it right.
That is why I am so disappointed and appalled at how Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has approached her work.
Instead of digging deep for the people of Georgia, she has endorsed sedition and violence.
She has called for violence against fellow leaders like Nancy Pelosi and President Barack Obama, as well as several progressive members of Congress.
And she has shown no signs of changing. She spends every day on the House floor trying to stop us from getting any work done for the people we serve. Her presence is a threat to the people and the work of the House, and that is why I have signed onto a resolution calling for Marjorie Taylor Greene to be expelled from Congress.
