The health care advocacy organization Families USA is out with a new report on the cost of a health care system that left millions of Americans uninsured during this ongoing pandemic … and the results are staggering:
Roughly 1 out of every 3 COVID-19 deaths across the country is linked to health insurance gaps — and more than 40% of ALL COVID-19 infections are associated with health insurance gaps.1
It's long overdue that we guarantee that everyone in this country has the care they need. And we're going to do that by passing Medicare for All.
People say we can't afford Medicare for All. Well, we already spend more per capita on health care than any other industrialized nation on earth — and in less than 10 years, we could be spending $6 trillion a year.
After a year as difficult and painful as this one, a record number of Americans are ready for change and support an overhaul of our profit-first health care system. And on top of strong public support, the Medicare for All Act of 2021 that Pramila introduced last week is sponsored by more than half of the Democratic caucus!
