Hi – it’s
Heather from Ro’s communications team. I’m reaching out because I haven’t
seen your signature yet on our new petition calling for a $15/hr minimum
wage.

[ [link removed] ]Can you help put pressure on the Biden-Harris administration to raise
the minimum wage by adding your name now?

We’re looking to add at least 2,000 more names to our petition today – and
you can help. Together, our signatures will help show President Biden and
Vice-President Harris that public support for a $15 minimum wage is
growing stronger by the day.

[ [link removed] ]So please, take a few seconds to add your name next to your fellow
supporters and demand a $15 minimum wage. We’re so close to our signature
goal!

Thanks,

Heather

An unelected parliamentarian attempted to deprive 32 million Americans of
the raise they deserve. She issued an advisory ruling that the COVID-19
relief package could not be used to raise the minimum wage, citing an
arcane rule.

It is inhumane that the $7.25 an hour minimum wage hasn’t increased in
more than a decade.
Millions of Americans are struggling to provide for their families — a
struggle that has only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

[ [link removed] ]Join me in calling on President Biden and Vice President Harris, as
President of the Senate, to disregard this procedural roadblock and rule a
$15/hr minimum wage in order, finally delivering a livable wage for the
people.

Not only is a $15/hr minimum wage widely popular with folks across the
country, but it’s also critical in order for working families to stay
afloat.

Just look at the numbers: Raising the minimum wage would increase the
wages for 31% of Black workers, 26% of Latinx workers, and 60% of workers
living in poverty.

It’s time
we raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. The American people have
struggled without a livable wage for too long. [ [link removed] ]Demand President Biden
and Vice President Harris ignore this arcane Senate rule and finally
deliver a $15 minimum wage »

In solidarity,

Ro Khanna
