I'm worried, John. Because of our razor-thin majority, we needed every single Democratic senator to pass direct pandemic relief - absolutely none of our Republican colleagues were willing to help. This partisan gridlock means losing a single seat in the upcoming midterm elections puts all of our future progress at risk.

That's why I'm writing to you with an update about my race in Georgia and my friend Catherine's race in Nevada. The GOP is pushing voter suppression tactics all across the country - and each of us only won by narrow, 2-point margins last time around. That comes down to just thousands of votes, John.

With two Republican outside groups spending big on attack ads against us already, Catherine and I need your help right now if we're going to win again and defend our majority: Please, John, will you split a $5 donation between Catherine's and my campaign to give us the resources we need to fight back and keep the Senate blue?

Mitch McConnell and his allies are doing everything they can to retake the Senate majority. CNN analysts are calling the Nevada and Georgia Senate seats among those most likely to flip, so Catherine and I are on McConnell's list of top targets. If we're going to hold our Senate majority and continue moving our bold Democratic agenda forward, we need your grassroots support right now. Just one single seat will decide if we'll have a Democratic Senate or two more years of one controlled by Mitch McConnell.

I made history when I became Georgia's first Black senator in January - and Catherine did the same when she was elected our nation's first Latina senator in 2016. She's as committed as I am to making our country a more inclusive place for all who live here, and her voice in the Senate is essential to all of us building back better. But we both won because we had grassroots Democrats like you - voters who invested early to help us build strong campaigns.

If we let the GOP pull ahead now, we might never catch up. Please, John, before our midnight deadline, will you split a $5 donation between Catherine's and my campaign to help keep Georgia and Nevada blue and protect our razor-thin Democratic Senate majority?
