March On’s COCO Fund has provided 83 people in 25 states with hundreds of dollars in direct cash relief to survive the pandemic.

Today, we want to share with you a note we received from one of our recipients, a new father receiving only $150 a month in unemployment.

“My entire career in the food industry I’ve always thought we’ve had it made! It could be the end of the world, and people still want to eat!  Flashback to last March, to when the first time I’ve been laid off in my life just happened and I wasn’t feeling that way anymore. I had a boy on the way and there was no way I could support my new family… By that point I was 2 months late on rent and our bills were astronomical!

I then heard from you guys and it seemed like something clicked! A few days after receiving my grant, I was offered a job and was back to work! Thank you all at the COCO Fund, you really manifested something beautiful for this chef and his little family!”

The COCO Fund is working hard to provide 100 grants by the end of this month to mark our 1- year anniversary on March 26th.
