John,
President Biden and Congress are on the verge of excluding homecare workers from their next economic recovery plan.
So in two short days, we’re going to put a billboard in front of the Capitol listing the names of all the people demanding that these frontline workers are included.
John, this is your chance to get your name on that billboard.

Subject: Careworkers need your help
John,
Since the beginning of the pandemic, homecare workers -- many of them women of color and immigrants -- have been risking their lives every day to care for our seniors, children, and housebound individuals.
But now these frontline workers are on the verge of being left out of President Biden and Congress’ next economic recovery plan.
We urgently need to make a massive public outcry and show Congress that careworkers must be included in its next economic recovery plan.
Add your name now and tell Congress to take care of those who take care of us.
The care force is one of the fastest-growing sectors in our country. But because this line of work is often performed inside private homes and outside of public view, care workers are paid low wages with no benefits and are explicitly left out of many federal labor and employment protections.
But if the pandemic has taught us anything about our country, it is that frontline jobs are the backbone of our nation’s economy. And the work of caring for our loved ones- mainly elders and people with disabilities- is more crucial than ever.
So Congress and President Biden must ensure that the “Build Back Better Plan” centers the women of color who have been disproportionately impacted by this pandemic, and whose essential duties make all other work possible.
That’s why we’re joining forces with the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) to demand that Congress include an investment of $450 billion over the next decade to expand access to home care services and create 1.5 million new home care jobs in its next economic recovery package. This will aid in the creation of a durable home care system for workers and consumers.
Sign the petition now to demand Congress support a Care economy.
John, care workers show up every day on the frontlines to care for our loved ones.
Now they are depending on us to show up for them and to make sure that they are not forgotten about in our nation’s post covid recovery plan.
Together, we can help make their demands heard.
Take action now to demand Congress invest in home care and professional caregivers.
