Amid the tragedies and traumas that are becoming more and more commonplace in our nation, NPH believes in taking a self-care pause to process emotions, such as grief, sadness, and anger. We also pause to reflect on how critical it is that we, as a collective movement, continue to work towards housing and racial justice together, an effort that has ripple effects across so many issues that impact our lives today. NPH continues to organize events and programming for you, our members and supporters, so that our movement and industry is connected and strong, lifting each other up, for the challenges that we will inevitably continue to face.

Hello John,

Please join us in celebrating incredible Bay Area affordable housing leaders at our 25th Annual NPH Affordable Housing Leadership Awards, coming up Thursday, April 29th at 4:30 PM PST.

To pay by check or to request an invoice, please use this form (also available in Word)
Registration Deadline: April 16

We’re pleased to announce this year’s awardee slate! Our 2021 awardees exemplify what it means to make significant and long-lasting contributions, empower and inspire the community around them, and strengthen our movement through innovation, collaboration, and inclusiveness.

NPH is honored to celebrate our 2021 awardees:

Rising Star Award: Tiffany Wong, EAH Housing

Headshot of Tiffany

Tiffany joined EAH Housing in 2015 as a Resource Coordinator and has since transitioned to their Manager of Community Engagement. Within five years, Tiffany has deployed her talent for resident civic engagement to make a substantial impact on the residents and the communities she serves - elevating the work of her colleagues and California’s affordable housing sector.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Don Falk, Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC)

Since 2005 Don has served as the Chief Executive Officer of TNDC. Under his leadership, TNDC has grown from a staff of 75 to over 450, from housing roughly 600 people to nearly 6,000, and by expanding their holistic approach beyond housing to serve tenants and the community through an after-school program, a healthy aging program, food security work, and community organizing.

Movement Trailblazer Award: Black Developers Forum

The Black Developers Forum was formed in 2020 in response to proposed regulatory changes that deeply impacted black-majority communities. Within 9 months, this forum of 75 members was able to increase awareness of inequitable affordable housing funding policies, anchor forum members in working groups, and negotiate a host of changes to TCAC and CDLAC regulations that resulted in more equitable allocation policies.
