Friend --
I’m proud to have supported the passage of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act earlier this month.
The PRO Act is one of the most critical pieces of legislation passed by Congress.
At its core, this bill improves the ability of workers to join a union. Additionally, the PRO Act promotes free, safe, and fair union elections while holding employers responsible for violating workers’ rights.
Union workers in Northwest Indiana are the backbone of our economy. Our communities’ families are more robust when workers can organize for fair wages, safe working conditions, improved health benefits, and a secure retirement.
Passing the PRO Act in the House sends a signal to the American people that we are serious about moving forward and creating an economy that works for everyone.
I believe an economy that works for everyone is built on an unshakable principle: Organized labor is essential in creating opportunities for all people to have a rewarding career, allowing them to take care of themselves and their families.
As the PRO Act moves to the Senate for its consideration and approval, I’m urging my Senate colleagues to approve the bill and send it to President Biden for his signature.
Millions of American workers are counting on us to do the right thing.
Team, with this critical legislation now passed through the House, will you help me keep fighting for labor and workers’ rights by chipping in now?
In solidarity,
Frank
