It is an honor to lead the Montana Democratic Party through one of the most critical times in our party’s history. And I am especially proud of what our party has accomplished this year to lift up Native voices.

This year we became the first-ever state party to create a formal Native committee structure within the party -- giving Native people a permanent seat at the table. What's more, we’re committed to investing early in Native communities to ensure that their voices are heard across Montana.

For too long Montana’s Native communities have been ignored in our politics and in our public policy. Republican plans today would harm Native communities and instead pour money into tax breaks for the ultra-rich. We're working to change that.
