Hello John,
Last Monday, 10 Coloradans lost their lives at Boulder’s King Soopers grocery store. The perpetrator was apprehended, but not before leaving families and friends distraught in the midst of senseless violence. The shooter, from Arvada, CO, traveled 65 miles to turn one of our country’s few remaining places of normalcy into a showcase of terror.
As Governor Jared Polis so wisely said, “The eyes of the Nation are on Colorado.” While we believe that justice will be served in due time, we also know that court decisions are no consolation for the lives lost in this tragedy. We at The Colorado Turnout Project want to extend our sincerest condolences and wishes for healing to all affected by this act of domestic terrorism.
We also know that our state can be better than this. We cannot allow violence to define our lives. Coloradans must stand together in the face of terror, united by our common goal of bettering the state we call home. Together, we will endure this challenging time and rise above cowardly acts of terror.
Very Respectfully,
Colorado Turnout Staff
