I know I emailed you earlier today, but I'm back again because, candidly, I need your help. My team just let me know that we're still about $4,752.83 behind on our fundraising goal. This is the most important fundraising deadline of our campaign so far, because it is the first FEC deadline since a Republican challenger announced he's trying to flip Virginia's Senate seat red in 2020.

That's why we can't afford to come up short tonight. So I'm asking you to make a contribution tonight before our midnight deadline. At that point, we have to report our fundraising numbers publicly. And if we fall short, you can be sure that Donald Trump and his GOP operatives in Washington are going to try to capitalize on it and flip Virginia in 2020.

I don't want that to happen. That's why it's so important we hit our goal tonight.
