Trump has been all-in on stopping this bill. Recently at the Conservative Political Action Conference, he called out the reform effort: "This monster must be stopped. It cannot be allowed to pass." The truth is ? if we can get this passed, it makes it even less likely he'd ever win elected office again.

The reason is ? candidates like Trump only succeed when access to voting is restricted. If we can get this through the Senate, it means automatic voter registration, nationwide. Early and absentee voting. More resources for voting by mail. Gerrymandering reform. Fixing dark money in elections. It's a massive bill that would finally make our democracy easier to participate in for everyone, and particularly voters of color long targeted by voter suppression policies.
