John,

In just a minute I'm going to ask for your help reaching our first end-of-quarter deadline of the year. But before I do, I want to talk a bit about what we've been working on and why it's so important we keep up the ground game.

This year, in a public health crisis that has shaken our communities to the core, my office has been the front lines enforcing and defending Governor Walz's emergency response to keep Minnesotans safe. At the same time, we protected Minnesotans' wallets by taking the fight to pandemic profiteers, protecting thousands across the state from illegal eviction attempts, scams, and price-gouging on essential items.

When Donald Trump was pushing the Big Lie, we defended our democracy against baseless, right-wing legal challenges to overturn Minnesota's fair and secure election. And building on our award-winning report on Lowering Pharmaceutical Drug Prices, we kept up the fight to lower prescription drug prices to help Minnesotans afford their lives and live with dignity.

Our work has never been more important, John. The pandemic shed an even brighter light on the injustices so many Minnesotans throughout our state face every day. There is no question we have a lot of work ahead of us, and I'm committed to getting the job done.

That's why I need your help. Trump may have lost the election, but his Minnesota allies haven't gone anywhere, and they're going to come after us with everything they have this year because we're not afraid to stand up to their corporate donors and fight for what's right.

I'll never back down, but I'm counting on you to be in this fight with me. Will you pitch in today so we can keep delivering for the people of Minnesota? Our first end-of-quarter deadline of the year is just over one week away, and we need to pick up the pace.
