[A note from A’shanti Header]

We have milestones to celebrate. But first - I want to take a moment to firmly support and continue to stand in solidarity with the AAPI community and condemn anti-Asian violence in all its forms. White supremacy, misogyny and bigotry have no place in our communities and we all have a responsibility to end it.

This edition of the Emerge e-newsletter is dedicated to our AAPI sisters and alums in particular - our solidarity makes us stronger.

Our strength helped us reach some huge milestones. From celebrating Vice President Kamala Harris' inauguration to watching Congresswoman (and Emerge alum) Deb Haaland be sworn in as the Secretary of the Interior to hitting a record 1,010 Emerge alums in office — we will never stop moving forward.

Reaching these milestones is the result of supporters like you investing in our work. Together, we have built a strong sisterhood and supported women who are changing the political game, and standing up in the face of hate across the country. If you can, please support the work of electing the next 1,000+ alums to seats from School Board to Congress.

Together, I know we can continue to build a future where women — especially those in the New American Majority — sit front and center in our country’s leadership.

A’shanti F. Gholar
President, Emerge

This email was sent to [email protected]. Emerge is a national organization working to recruit, train, and get Democratic women elected across the country, and we are so grateful to have you on our team. Our alums are strong voices for Democratic values — and they are working to bring their values up and down the ballot to fight for working families. They are fighting for critical issues that affect our communities like the environment, accessible and affordable healthcare, social justice and education equity. We need more alums fighting for us across the country.

Email is the best way for us to keep you informed about what’s happening with our work. You may notice that we send a lot of emails asking for your support—that’s because we win when everyone does what they can to help. Our organization depends on thousands of actual people who care about our democracy and want to see positive change in our communities and across our country by building power through investing in Democratic women.
