MATCH IN EFFECT: GROUNDWORK IS RAISING $25,000 TO MATCH THEIR GRANT TO DEMOCRACY HUBS. CONTRIBUTE NOW >> [[link removed]]
[[link removed]]
Right now, there are six regional Democracy HUBS across the Commonwealth working to build the essential infrastructure and organizing capacity we need to secure a more just and equitable future for Massachusetts.
The HUBS are divided into six regions: Boston to Brockton, Central Massachusetts, East Boston to Salem, Merrimack Valley, South Coast, Western Massachusetts. Each collective has somewhere between 3-10 local groups involved, and they work together to ensure all coalition members have access to funding, training, data, technology, and other essential organizing tools.
We’re so excited that this effort is the recipient of the FIRST Groundwork Grant! We’ve sent $25,000 to them directly. But we want to raise another $25,000 to help them meet their 2021 budget goal by next week. Donate to our Match Fund now, if you can. [[link removed]]
What is it about Democracy HUBS that we think is so special? Here’s what we love:
*
Our
dollars
will
go
directly
to
small,
hyperlocal
groups
that
are
trusted
messengers
within
their
communities
and
know
what
their
neighbors
need

embodying
the
Groundwork
mission.
It
is
specifically
tailored
towards
communities
that
have
been
systematically
disenfranchised
and
under-served.
*
It
is
a
long-term
investment
in
the
civic
infrastructure
our
Commonwealth
needs
to
ensure
equitable
access
to
political
power.
*
It
is
a
collaborative
approach
that
brings
together
some
of
the
best
groups
organizing
across
the
state
and
allows
them
to
share
best
practices,
tools,
training,
and
methods.
*
It
is
rigorously
data-driven,
relying
on
VoteBuilder
and
other
traditional
organizing
tools
to
track
and
measure
success.

Groundwork Project is starting in Massachusetts, but we are going to expand soon to find other efforts like this one nationwide. At Groundwork, we strive to share organizations like this one with you all, give them a platform, and help their impact expand through grassroot involvement.
When it comes to tackling the pervasive political, racial, social and economic disparities in Massachusetts, we believe that an investment in Democracy HUBS is one of the most impactful ways that a dollar can be spent. Donate now to help us reach our grassroots match goal of $25,000. [[link removed]]
Thank you for all your support!
Team GWP
Groundwork Project was founded by Joe Kennedy III to support community organizers, advocates, and activists nationwide who are working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. This needs to change.
We're directing resources, attention, and support to the local advocates and state-based organizations doing the deep, long-term organizing that Democrats need to build a more diverse party, expand its base, win elections, and deliver progressive policy reforms. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
