Require schools to adopt a Model Code of Conduct to probit employee sexual misconduct

PREVENT SEXUAL ABUSERS FROM WORKING IN SCHOOLS

SD2260 (Sen. Lovely) and HD2926 (Rep. Blais)

Screen out applicants with sexual misconduct histories.
Stop “passing the trash” practices whereby sexual abusers are enabled to move on to new positions where they are still a danger to children.

PROHIBIT AGE OF CONSENT AS A DEFENSE

SD2300 & SD2299 (Sen. Lovely) and HD1887 (Rep. Gordon)

Shield 16-18 year-olds from educator sexual misconduct/abuse.
Close the "age of consent loophole" that protects abusers by allowing them to claim a relationship with a student is consensual.
