Violence against women is not a partisan issue, John xxxxxx. At least I don’t think it should be.
When the House first voted on the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) in 1993, all 172 Republicans of the 103rd Congress voted in favor of the legislation.
172 Republicans voted against legislation to protect the safety of survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
That is unacceptable.
John xxxxxx: it is absolutely essential that we unseat all 172 of them. Every single person deserves a member of Congress who will work to protect their and everyone else’s rights — especially those who have survived the trauma of abuse.
