There once was an SNL sketch starring Tom Hanks and Chris Farley about a
family having leftovers for dinner. Hanks took a swig of milk that was
completely spoiled, gave out an exasperated sound, and then everyone else
wanted to get a taste of the wretchedness.

Remember that as we ask: Why do Democrats keep drinking this spoiled
milk...

Congressman Henry Cuellar is known as "Trump's favorite Democrat" and
represents a very blue district. He was one of the last Dems in Congress
to support impeachment. He always sticks up for big corporations and
undermines progressives.

Josh Gottheimer launches grenades at AOC and the Squad from his perch in a
New Jersey district in the New York suburbs. He organized other
conservative Democrats to kill attempts to end child cages at the border.
He is consistently pro-Wall Street.

These are the exact types of Democrats who watered down Obama's agenda in
2009. Why do we keep drinking this spoiled milk?

Jessica Cisneros is a bold progressive recruited by Justice Democrats to
run against Cuellar. Progressive Councilwoman Arati Kreibich is
challenging Gottheimer.

[ [link removed] ]We can't expect to pass big change under the next president if we don't
support bold progressive candidates. Can you chip in $1 each to key
progressives in Dem primaries so we have a House majority ready to work
for the people? You can donate monthly here or choose to make a one-time
donation.

Here are two more.

Congressman Richie Neal had to be dragged kicking and screaming to request
Trump's tax returns as a powerful Democratic committee chair from a very
blue district. The state of New York recently offered to give him Trump's
returns, and he said no! His committee controls Medicare For All
legislation and he constantly puts up obstacles. Progressive mayor Alex
Morse stepped up to run against Neal.

Marie Newman came 1% away from defeating Congressman Dan Lipinski in the
2018 primary. With the help of thousands of PCCC members who have donated
over $30,000 to her campaign, she’s aiming to finish the job in 2020. We
can't wait. Lipinski opposed Obamacare, opposes a $15 minimum wage, and
voted with Republicans to gut Wall Street regulations. He is the epitome
of an outdated, out-of-touch Democrat -- and disappointingly supported by
the DCCC's shameful blacklist policy.

A couple more short notes...

In a flippable Nebraska district, the Democratic Congressional Campaign
Committee backed a pro-life corporate Democrat against Kara Eastman last
cycle. Kara won the primary with a message of Medicare For All! Kara then
got 49% in November without the Democratic establishment's help. She's
running again to flip this red seat blue, and the establishment is silent.

Rep. Katie Porter from CA-45 is a regular on Lawrence O'Donnell and Bill
Maher. She grills big corporate executives in moments that go viral, like
her mentor Elizabeth Warren. (And she happens to be very funny.) She also
was the first red-to-blue freshman to call for impeachment. PCCC members
were proud to support her early in 2018.

Rep. Mike Levin won a big primary in CA-49 and defeated a congressional
Republican as a proud "Warren wing" Democrat. He was the first red-to-blue
freshman to support AOC on a Green New Deal. And he also came out early
for impeachment.

[ [link removed] ]We have to get Kara's back and others. Please do what you can today --
before the September 30 fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.

The September 30 fundraising deadline will be used to judge their
momentum. Your help today will go a long way.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here: [link removed]
