"I knew those were people that love this country, that truly respect law enforcement, would never do anything to break the law, and so I wasn't concerned ... had the tables been turned, and President Trump won the election and those were tens of thousands of Black Lives Matter and Antifa protesters, I might have been a little concerned."

Those are the words of Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, one of Trump's most loyal supporters in the Senate, on the Capitol riots that threatened our democracy and left five people dead.

Over two months later, Johnson Is still making racist comments and spreading conspiracy theories, all to stay in Trump's good graces. He's even claimed that the rioters were harmless because of their "jovial, friendly demeanor!"

Senators who think that only white Trump supporters "love this country" have no place sitting in our government -- and soon, we have the power to vote Johnson out.

Trump lost in Wisconsin, and progressive Tammy Baldwin, the state's other senator, cruised to an easy reelection victory in 2018. Johnson is hanging on by a thread, and we're poised to deliver the final blow that will banish him from the Senate for good!

But the most valuable currency in the Republican party these days is loyalty to Trump, so Johnson is clearly trying to lock down the failed former president's radical base with his lies. And it's working -- we're falling behind on our fundraising goals while his reelection momentum builds. We have to turn this around now -- but we need your help to do it.
