Josh knows the United States Postal Service is a vital American institution, almost as old as the country itself. It ensures that the elderly get their life-saving medications, serves to connect communities across the country, and remains one of the largest employers of returning veterans.
And right now, it’s on the brink of disaster.
For too long, the USPS has been subject to rules designed to slowly hamstring our mail delivery — and with Postmaster General Louis DeJoy in charge it’s only gotten worse. It’s time for us to make a change.

Right now, the Postal Service is forced to pre-pay future retirement benefits. This burden is unheard-of — and it’s a carefully calculated move designed to make the USPS seem more inefficient and wasteful than it is. Josh’s bill removes this burden, keeps our veterans employed, and ensures people get their mail.
Imagine a world without the USPS: Rural America would be left without its link to the rest of the country. Vets would go hungry without a good-paying job. Our parents and grandparents would be left without the medications they need to survive.
