Folks, women have been the driving force behind social change in our country for centuries. This Women’s History Month, Haley Stevens is honoring that legacy with action.

Last week, Haley voted to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act and to enable ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. Together, these actions provide funding and expand legal grounds to combat gender-based violence and unequal treatment of women.

Will you celebrate Women’s History Month by signing Haley’s petition in support of these measures? Despite their urgency and popularity, Senate Republicans are likely to challenge them, and we need to show public support!

Right now, more women than ever are serving in Congress, and our first woman Vice President casts tie-breaking votes in the Senate. But as the first woman ever elected to represent MI-11, Haley Stevens knows that there are still many glass ceilings holding women back, and these two measures are critical to continuing progress towards gender equality.

The Violence Against Women Act helped survivors of abuse seek justice for decades -- until Republican obstruction stopped it from being renewed in 2019.

In 2020, Virginia became the 38th and final state needed to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. This long-overdue constitutional amendment will ban discrimination on the basis of sex.

For years, Republicans have obstructed these commitments to justice and equality for women. With our Congressional Democratic Majorities, our time has come to get it done -- sign on to show your support today!
