A Note from Sharice:
It’s been a busy first few months of 2021 and I’m proud of all that we have accomplished together. We’ve worked with our new administration to begin recovering after the darkness of the past few years — and now we’re laying the groundwork for the next years of progress.
I’m so grateful for your support. You’ve made it possible for us to continue fighting for our values in Congress. So please give our March newsletter a read to see what we’ve been up to and where we’re headed in this new year.
My very best,
— Sharice
As we close the books on the first quarter of 2021, we wanted to share a few updates with you.

American Rescue Plan
Sharice joined House Democrats to pass President Biden’s American Rescue Plan, securing $1.9 trillion dollars in relief for the American people. This legislation will provide another round of stimulus payments, expand unemployment insurance, provide K-12 schools with the resources they need to reopen safely, and invest in vaccine distribution! Americans demand action — and now help is on the way.
Passing the Equality Act
The House has passed the Equality Act, which will ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. Sharice is committed to standing up for the LGBTQ+ community in Congress and fighting for equality and justice for all. That’s why she was proud to preside over the House floor during debate on this landmark legislation.

Secretary Deb Haaland
Deb Haaland has been confirmed as Secretary of the Interior, making history as the first Native American Cabinet Secretary . Sharice called on the Senate to confirm her friend Deb and she was proud to support her by joining the #DebforInterior Town Hall. This is a historic nomination and we’re proud that this team stood with her every step of the way!
