Ironic? Ridiculous? Just classic DC? You decide...
AOC and progressives are being scolded by the DC establishment for fighting back after months of attacks by conservative and establishment Dems.
Washington Post reporter Rachel Bade set the record straight yesterday on ABC's This Week: "This all started a weekend ago when Pelosi made this sort of snide comment about AOC and these three other liberal freshman, saying they have no power in the House. It was not the first time she's done that. She's done that multiple times in recent weeks."
Wash Post reporting also reminds us of the real issue here: "Liberal House Democrats said the bill didn’t do enough to protect migrant children held in federal detention centers amid reports of poor conditions. [Ilhan] Omar said a vote for it amounted to a vote “to keep kids in cages.”
Wash Post reporter Dave Weigel pointed out the irony: "The irony here is that the moderates acted like real rebels, denying their votes until Pelosi met their demands. AOC et al worked with Pelosi and offered early support, and look at the rewards of that."
This weekend, the official House Democrat Twitter account attacked AOC's Chief of Staff, Saikat Chakrabarti! Corporate Democrat Rahm Emanuel, a Pelosi ally, called him a “snot-nosed punk" in the New York Times!
Elizabeth Warren weighed in and said AOC and the Squad are important national leaders. She said they "bring new energy and they bring an excitement to people who feel like they've been sidelined forever." Amen.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here.
