Republicans in Georgia introduced a massive 94-page voter suppression omnibus bill late last night ahead of a surprise 8:30 am hearing today. John, here’s what’s in the bill:

>>> Cuts the time to apply for and return absentee ballots and adds a new, unnecessary ID requirement to vote from home.
>>> Reduces drop box hours to make them available only during early voting. This drastically cuts the convenience of voting from home by forcing voters to return their ballots during a certain time of day.

>>> Criminalizes passing out food or beverages to voters waiting in line at polling places. Data shows Black and brown voters face the longest wait times.

We can stop this horrific voter suppression omnibus. John, I’m asking you to pitch in to support our vital grassroots work in Georgia.

It’s no surprise that Republicans are taking the last 9 days of the legislative sessions to introduce one of the most harmful voter suppression bills we’ve seen this year.

Ending vote by mail as we know it in Georgia will impact access to the ballot box in 2022 -- when we need to re-elect Senator Warnock and have a chance at flipping the governor’s seat.

Time is running out so please give $5 or $10 so we have a chance at protecting vote by mail in Georgia. [link removed]

Thanks for caring so much about voting rights.

Vote From Home
------------
Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail.
