Today, the House Oversight Committee -- which Katie Porter, AOC, and Jamie Raskin serve on -- is holding historic hearings about whether Washington DC should become a state!

DC currently can vote for president but has no representation in the U.S. Senate despite having more people than some states with Senate representation.

If DC became a state, nearly a million people would (finally) get representation in the Senate and Democrats would pick up two more Senators! (Joe Manchin would not be the deciding vote.)

To convince Congress, grassroots donors like you chipped in to allow the Progressive Change Institute to poll key states. DC statehood is popular by double digits. So are federal voting rights laws to override Republican voter suppression in places like Arizona and Georgia.
