Hey John — I'm Amber!
I'm reaching out to you to share my Women's March story, and to explain how the WM organizing programs I've been a part of are changing our country for the better.
After you’ve read my story, I hope you can chip in $3 to Women’s March in honor of Women's History Month to help fund their organizing and training programs for the fights ahead.
I decided to get involved with Women's March leading up to the 2020 election because I knew that every single one of us had to do our part. Together with Women's March volunteers from across our country, I texted out the vote to thousands of women to remind them to get to the polls and reject Donald Trump's hateful brand of politics. John, I saw firsthand how our work can pay off when women come together to organize for progress.
That experience made it clear that the way to win elections is by coming together — but our work to spread our message and build our feminist future has to go even further. Since the 2020 election, I've stayed active with Women's March's organizing programs. I'm proud to be a part of the Digital Defenders team, to have written letters to help defund Ted Cruz, and completed the Feminist Fundamentals Short Course. And we're still just getting started.
I love the community that Women's March has provided — and every single one of their programs is provided to women like me for free. That's so important, John, because I believe every woman should have the opportunity to get involved in the fight for a better, more just, and more equitable future for all.
Thank you for reading my story, John. I hope you'll do your part and chip in to help fund this important work — for Women's History Month and for the months ahead.
Yours,
Amber
