Dear Friend, I hope this letter finds you and your family well. I know you’ve seen the news: trauma and chaos at our border. America is a generous nation. Throughout our history, we have opened our arms to those fleeing persecution and seeking a better way of life. But what is transpiring at our border undermines our generosity— and creates another crisis for national security and for human dignity. It is not fair, especially to the children being smuggled. Ignoring and complaining about the problem is not enough. I have worked steadily to get this problem off of the one yard line—to rebuild the rule of law, to stop crime, and to help those in need. It’s heartbreaking to see the consequences of mixed messages and executive orders from President Biden. I need your help in fighting on this front and so many others. Our quarterly fundraising deadline is quickly approaching. These deadlines are crucial to ensuring that we have the resources to return to reasoned public policy. Can you consider a gift of $50, $100, or $250, or whatever you can afford, to help right now?
If you can give, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you, as always, for your friendship and your trust. Sincerely,
Jeff Fortenberry
