State Strategies for Implementing American Rescue Plan Funding to Support Children and Families
In response to the American Rescue Plan's recent historic investments to support children and families, CLASP and our partners are hosting two webinars regarding state implementation. Please join to learn more about timely and meaningful implementation strategies of this funding for child care and other important programs that support families.
This Thursday, March 25th, at 2pm ET/11am PT, CLASP, EducationCounsel, NAEYC, and NAFCC are sponsoring an important webinar on how states and advocates can work together to ensure that child care relief dollars are spent quickly, effectively, equitably, and in ways that lay the groundwork for substantial, sustainable change. "Spend Every Dime: How $40 Billion Can Change Child Care" (zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_b-Fs31IPRAOFLnpuiGTomg) answers questions about how the funds can be used and highlights best practices already in place in several states.
Katie Hamm, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Early Childhood Development at the Administration for Children and Families will provide an overview of the American Rescue Plan funds and answer questions. She will be joined by several panelists who will share their experiences of best practices and learnings.
On April 6th at 2pm ET/11am PT, join ZERO TO THREE and CLASP for a webinar, “What's in the American Rescue Plan for Infants, Toddlers, and Their Families?” (zerotothree.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_t0HUIpi4SVKPh73R0M5syw?t=1615986429637), on equitable and effective state implementation strategies for the American Rescue Plan that Build Strong Foundations for Families with young children.
CLASP and ZERO TO THREE’s Building Strong Foundations for Families project promotes federal and state policies that address the wellbeing of infants, toddlers, and families. The newly passed American Rescue Plan provides critical and unprecedented opportunities for states to support infants, toddlers, and their families. Please join us and state leaders to talk about new opportunities to support families’ health, economic security, and wellbeing through programs including child care, tax credits, health care, and more.
