It wasn't enough for every single Republican member of Congress to vote against delivering help to the American people with the American Rescue Plan.

Now, they're going even further to prevent relief funds from getting to the people who need them.

Chairman of the Republican Senatorial Committee, Senator Rick Scott, is calling on state and local governments to reject billions in already approved federal aid — calling it “massive and wasteful”. That’s the same Rick Scott that used the Trump billionaire tax cut to help a Florida billionaire build luxury townhouses along his super yacht marina.

That’s the level of bad faith we are up against. And while Rick Scott is seeking to undermine the success of this historic stimulus for the American people, he is busy recruiting big money Republicans to run against Chris and other Democratic senators up in 2022.

It’s clear Rick Scott and Senate Republicans have no interest in governing. They are focused on doing whatever it takes to win back the Senate gavel. If we're going to keep making progress, we can’t let that happen.
