Dear John,

On April 22nd, dress up or dress down and join us for the 18th Annual Virtual Commonwealth Dinner! We wish that we could celebrate together in-person, but we wanted to ensure that everyone would be able to remain safe and healthy while still enjoying a festive evening, so we're bringing you a unique Dinner experience in a completely digital format. Together, we will celebrate the enormous strides we've made to advance equality for LGBTQ Virginians - all from the comfort of home.

You won't want to miss the exciting program we have planned for you as we toast to these historic wins, honor our OUTstanding Virginians, and gather in community from every corner of the state - it will truly be a night to remember. Plus, the evening is free for everyone, so be sure to reserve your ticket, today!

How to get started:

  • Register: This year's Dinner is free for everyone, but registration is required for digital security and planning purposes.
  • Donate: Help us reach our fundraising goal by making a 100% tax-deductible contribution.
  • Host a Virtual Table: Enjoy the night with your friends and family all from the comfort and safety of your home.

Join us for a fun, interactive evening...

  • Craft your own cocktail/mocktail and appetizer during the pre-show hosted by a local chef and a creative mixologist
  • Hear from our executive director about pro-equality bills that recently passed at the legislature and what's ahead for EV
  • Toast the LGBTQ lawmakers who have helped move equality forward at the General Assembly
  • See how we engaged and educated our community in new, digital ways, and learn how your advocacy made an impact
  • Check out our transgender programming successes and discover the many ways we've grown over the past year
  • Listen to stories from community members and leaders who tirelessly advocated for LGBTQ equality
  • Honor our 2021 OUTstanding Virginians who have improved the lives of LGBTQ Virginians across the state
  • Take pictures throughout the evening of your at-home celebration and we'll share them at special moments in the program
  • Turn on your video and join us for a virtual dance party on Zoom during the after-party social event

...and so much more!

2021 OUTstanding Virginians

Meet our 2021 OUTstanding Virginianssponsored by CarMax, who will be honored at the 18th Annual Virtual Commonwealth Dinner. These honorees are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied individuals or organizations who have been on the front-lines for fairness, improving their communities, and striving for a more inclusive Virginia.

OUTstanding Virginians are nominated by community members for their dedication to increasing equality in our state. As EV works to advance equity for LGBTQ Virginians, especially Black, Indigenous, Latinx and other persons of color, we’re proud to partner with change-makers like this year’s honorees.

This year's honorees include: Alpha Omega Kappa, Evelyn BruMar, Charley Burton, Nyonna Byers, Emily Sproul, and Adam Trimmer. Congratulations to all of our honorees - we cannot wait to share your outstanding accomplishments at the Dinner!
