Friend,
Last week we announced our endorsement of Scott Stringer for Mayor. Click here to read more about our endorsement in Politico.
It's important to us that the candidates we endorse spend time in our neighborhoods and with our members. For that reason, we kicked off our endorsement with an event in front of our member Dawn's apartment building in Flatbush and a march down Church Ave. Dawn and her neighbors have been fighting to get repairs in their building down for years and are leading in the fight to cancel rent.
From marching with us on the earliest picket lines of the Fight for $15 to divesting the city's pension funds from fossil fuels, Scott has been an ally for our communities throughout his career. Scott has the vision, the experience, and the plans to create an equitable city for those finding it harder and harder to survive here.
Scott has a proven progressive track record and bold plans for building more deeply affordable housing, ending the homelessness crisis, and tackling the climate crisis. He will help ensure a better future for struggling households who keep this city running.
Corporate-backed candidates are consolidating the lead in the Mayor’s race. Scott has the policies, resources, and political strength to lead a successful challenge from the left. We’re going to do everything we can to get Scott elected in June!
