Dear John,
Transportation is the largest source of climate pollution in the U.S. It’s a big challenge, but also a big opportunity. Making the transition to zero emitting cars, trucks and buses would slash carbon emissions, create jobs and protect our communities.
To accelerate progress, we need Congress to extend and expand investments in clean vehicle technology, manufacturing and charging stations so we can reach a cleaner and healthier future.
The future of transportation is electric! Urge Congress to support bold action to promote electric vehicles today.
We can rebuild our economy and create healthier communities by modernizing our transportation and power sectors: We need 100% clean electric power by 2035, all new cars to be zero emitting by 2035, and all new trucks and buses to be zero emitting by 2040.
By investing in electric trucks, buses and cars — while cleaning up the electric power they run on — we can put people to work and ensure frontline communities, that are now exposed to heavy vehicle traffic, will be protected from the toxic pollution that spews from our tailpipes.
We need your help to ensure that all new cars will be zero polluting by 2035, and all new trucks and buses to be zero polluting by 2040. Our leaders in Congress can help make this clean future a reality, but they need to hear from you.
Share your support for bold and urgent action to electrify America’s transportation system.
Thank you for your activism and support,
Wes Rogerson
