Last Friday, new CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines were released prompting the City to announce the adoption of relaxed social distancing during the opt-in period for in-person learning beginning today. Taking into account the complicated logistics in preparing for everyone’s safety, while balancing the needs of parents and children throughout our City, Dianne Morales invites you to this space for discussion on how our students will return to school safely and equitably.

Please join us tonight, Monday, March 22, from 7-8 PM for The People’s Town Hall: Reopening NYC Public Schools, where panelists will discuss how we should reopen schools. The roundtable discussion will center the voices of parents and school workers, voices that have long been ignored. Registration is free and all are welcome.

Without a doubt, the handling of the reopening of schools was chaotic and caused even more hardship for educators, students, and families during these incredibly tough times.
