The Call for Proposals for the 2021 Annual Gathering is now open!
Think about your agency's program successes, best practices and
lessons learned from this past year and consider submitting a proposal
for review. Share your expertise with colleagues across the network
and gain the opportunity to learn from others. Special Note: Workshop
proposals may be considered for use as webinars in general and
especially if plans for the 2021 Annual Gathering are changed.

Catholic Charities USA Healthy Housing Initiative Year One Annual
Report

The CCUSA Healthy Housing Initiative (HHI) Year One Report is now
available. HHI is a five-year pilot focused on providing permanent
supportive housing to chronically homeless individuals. This Year One
Report captures the activities and accomplishments of the five local
Catholic Charities agencies participating in the pilot, as well as the
technical assistance and support provided to the agencies by CCUSA

Old Age: Our Future - The elderly after pandemic. Co-sponsored

Agency approach to link USDA Child And Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
To home child care providers In rural WV

Please join us to learn more about the USDA Child and Adult Care Food
Program(CACFP). This program provides reimbursement for nutritious
meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for
care at participating child care centers, daycare homes, and adult
daycare centers. The webinar will provide a brief overview of the
program but also highlight the work of Catholic Charities West
Virginia that serves as a regional sponsor, allowing many of the
State's operators of licensed in-home child care sites to take
advantage of the program for the families they serve. In addition to
assisting in-home providers access the program, they also support them

Solidarity not Charity: Organizing With Refugees and Against
Institutional White Supremacy

Join Catholic Charities USA and Catholic Charities of Oregon for a
webinar on solidarity, self-determination, and the limits of charity
in the Portland, OR Refugee and Immigration Services community. Hear
from Francis Kham, Immigrant and Refugee Community Education Worker
and Zomi Catholic Community Portland Administrator, about his
experience transitioning from United States newcomer to Catholic
Charities of Oregon Board Member, as well as the current organizing
efforts of the Portland Zomi Catholic community. Kat Kelley, Director
of Strategic Initiatives at Catholic Charities of Oregon, will share
some of the unique challenges and triumphs related to advocating for
substantive changes while navigating white supremacy in the nonprofit
sector. This webinar will: (1.) Underscore the impact of organizing
with refugee and immigrant communities rather than for them; (2.)
Explore the potential and limitations engendered by monocultural
nonprofit structures that work with refugees; (3.) Equip participants
with key takeaways for building more equity into their organizations.

A model for faith community nursing

Faith community nurses and health advocates can foster collaborations
between Catholic Charities agencies, hospitals, and other community
partners. Within their faith communities they can: offer education on
health and wellness; coordinate multi-disciplinary health ministries;
make home visits to the homebound, isolated, and lonely; foster
spiritual well-being; coordinate coronavirus and flu vaccine clinics;
and facilitate transitional care from hospital to home during
discharge, boosting positive outcomes and reducing readmissions. Learn

the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and was imported to Arkansas with

Resourcing the network for food and nutrition webinar

Join CCUSA for a webinar to explore Food Finder and CityServe
organizations, two unique agencies that help connect families in their
communities with the food they need. Food Finder is a nonprofit
website and app with a directory of over 45,000 food pantries and
school meal locations. City Serve is a collaborative network of
churches and community leaders connected to helping feed people across
several states. Leaders from both organizations will share information
on their work in reducing food insecurity. Food Finder will demo their
app which gives free information on food pantries across all fifty
states and City Serve will review how they leverage partnerships to
access fresh produce and food supplies and work through congregations

WIC 101 Webinar - A presentation for Catholic Charities agencies

The Foundation for Financial Planning is accepting grant applications
(until April 30th, 2021) from nonprofit organizations whose programs
link pro bono financial planners to people in need. Programs should
include one-on-one engagements between Certified Financial
Planner(TM) (CFP®) professionals and pro bono clients, and
comply with COVID-19 safety guidelines. Grants are generally in the
range of $5,000 to $40,000. For more information about eligibility and
how to apply, please visit here. Nonprofits seeking to connect with
CFP professionals who want to provide free, no-strings-attached
financial planning and advice to underserved populations can register
on FFP's Pro Bono Planner Match website. On Pro Bono Planner
Match, nonprofits can post volunteer opportunities that engage
financial planners in one-on-one or interactive, small group (virtual)

Grant Opportunity: CCUSA Financial Education AmeriCorps Program

CCUSA is currently looking for additional grantees for the Financial
Education AmeriCorps program! The AmeriCorps members in this program
will primarily use the FDIC Money Smart curriculum to teach clients
how to enhance their financial skills and create positive banking
relationships. AmeriCorps members can also provide other
asset-development activities, including tax preparation, financial
counseling, IDA enrollment, and much more. This program has a goal to
help clients improve their financial literacy and navigate financial
