Dear Friend,
Slowly but steadily vaccine access has expanded to include new groups of DC workers and residents. Unfortunately distribution of the vaccine has not been equitable across the country or in the District. DC JWJ is deeply committed to holding DC government accountable and demanding access to the vaccine for all DC residents and essential workers as soon as possible.
Earlier this week we also worked with our allies at MLOV to demand that Mayor Bowser provide vaccine registration and public education materials in all major languages spoken by DC residents. This issue was later covered by the Washington City Paper. Unfortunately, the administration still says a language-accessible site is still not available, but we hope it will by the end of the week. Until then, residents who speak other languages must work with an English speaker or call the hotline, which can accommodate language needs - 1-855-363-0333 (see hours of operation below). We are disappointed in the failure of our leadership to build a tool that is usable by all residents.
We encourage folks to get the vaccine when they are eligible (
see here for a comprehensive list of eligible DC workers and residents).
Please help us spread the word about vaccine eligibility by sharing the registration information below with folks in your network.
Here is the registration info as plain text:
Pre-Register online: http://vaccinate.dc.gov (any time, any day)
Call Center: 1-855-363-0333 (Mon-Fri, 8am-7pm and Sat & Sun, 8am-4pm)
