In statehouses across the country, Republican lawmakers are fighting to keep voters from the polls and ensure a Republican victory in 2022. Over 250 dangerous voter suppression bills have been filed already this year in a coordinated attempt to suppress the vote and ensure a red wave.

These bills limit voting times and vote by mail. They return us to archaic voter identification laws designed to stop voters of color. In the swing state of Georgia, the GOP has even tried to end voting on Sundays specifically because of grassroots movements to turnout Black voters after Sunday morning church services.

But there's good news -- we're hard at work to make sure the GOP won't win in 2022 -- no matter what underhanded tactics they pull. We're fighting to fund progressive candidates to unseat pro-voter suppression Republicans. And the progressives we helped elect in 2020 are pushing forward the For the People Act, which will wipe away the GOP's awful voter suppression laws and make sure ALL Americans can exercise their right to vote.
