 Hi John,
Now
more than ever, access to clean water and proper handwashing is vital.
Children are risking their lives every time they drink unsafe, unclean
water, and lack of access to clean water also impacts school attendance and the
ability to learn.
This World Water Day, we recognize
P&G's generous acts of good in support of our work together on the deployment of
water purification materials in Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Somalia, places where
drought, conflict, flooding and the threat of waterborne diseases are
jeopardizing the lives of children every day. With just a bucket, a
stick, a clean cloth and a P&G water purification packet, 10 liters of
dirty, potentially deadly water is turned into clean drinkable water. We
also partner to carry out onsite trainings for community leaders to help
them learn the proper use of the water purifying packets and provide
ongoing messages on COVID-19 safety.
Together,
P&G and Save the Children have had a positive impact in the lives of
over 1 million people. With our shared commitment, P&G is bringing
us closer to the world we all imagine – one where children
survive, so they can have the future they deserve.
