As you read this, immigrants housed in prisons are being indefinitely subjected to long term medical neglect, sexual assault, and extreme solitary confinement -- and they don't even have legal counsel to fight for them. Many children don't even have beds to sleep on. Siblings are being separated. And they're being detained longer than is legally allowed.
No man, woman, or child seeking a better life in this country should be thrown into a cell to suffer these countless systemic abuses -- this needs to end NOW.
