This past Wednesday, the House passed a bill honoring police officers who defended the Capitol from insurrectionists on January 6.

But 12 representatives voted AGAINST awarding these officers the Congressional Gold Medal.

The ones opposed were many of the same representatives who incited the Capitol Riot to begin with — by promoting the “big lie” of election fraud. Folks like Louie Gohmert, Andy Biggs, Thomas Massie, Andy Harris, Matt Gaetz, and others...

And not only did many of these representatives inspire this act of domestic terrorism, but now they have turned their backs on the brave men and women who risked their lives to protect us while the Capitol was under siege.

I promised you that I would fight to make sure that every Republican who inspired this insurrection was held accountable, and John, that’s exactly what I’ll do. Will you pitch in, and join me in the fight to unseat these representatives in 2022?

One Capitol police officer was killed and two others died in the aftermath of the January 6 riot, and scores of others were injured as a result of the day’s events.

These officers are heroes and deserve to be recognized for their bravery.

12 GQP representatives clearly didn’t think so. Otherwise, they would have joined 413 other members of Congress in supporting this bipartisan resolution.
