Friend,

- FIRST, The Atlantic reported that the For the People Act is "Democrats' only chance to stop the GOP assault on voting rights."
- THEN, Representative John Sarbanes, the bill's sponsor, added, "If you look at all the stakes that are involved, the notion that you would miss this opportunity becomes incomprehensible."

Friend, getting the For the People Act through the Senate won't be easy and we need every ounce of support you can give. Will you pitch in to help us keep working for what may be our last chance at democracy reform?

Here's what could happen if we can't pass the For the People Act and Democrats lose control of either the House or the Senate in 2022, according to The Atlantic:

"Republicans could use their state-level power to continue limiting ballot access, which would make regaining control of the House or the Senate more difficult for Democrats -- and thus prevent them from passing future national voting rules that override the exclusionary state laws."

But that's not the worst thing that could happen. If we can't fix our democracy now, FiveThirtyEight reports that we could end up with "a system of minority rule in which Republicans can keep control of America's government for decades even if the majority of voters favor Democrats."

That's why it's so URGENT that we get the For the People Act to President Biden as soon as possible. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment, friend. Can we count on your support?
