Indivisibles,

March recess is nearly upon us, and we know one thing for sure: to reach
our goals on democracy reform (from passing the For the People Act in the
Senate to making D.C. a state and more) and enable all our other
progressive priorities, we have to remove one of our biggest roadblocks --
the filibuster. And that means building pressure on key senators in as
many ways as we can while they’re home and listening to their
constituents.

Newspaper ads like this one we just spent $15,000 on are only the start:

[ [link removed]- ]An image of a newspaper ad. Text reads "A bipartisan majority of
Arizonans support the For the People Act to improve access to the ballot
box, promote election integrity, and ensure election security. So why is
Senator Kyrsten Sinema letting Mitch McConnell veto it? Demand Senator
Sinema stand with Arizonans, not McConnell. Tell Sinema to: Eliminate the
filibuster, Pass the For the People Act, and Save our democracy. Text
'Arizona' to 977-79. Call 1-877-847-4809. sinema.indivisible.org"

We’re also preparing to launch $10,000 worth of radio ads in target states
in the next week alone. We’re budgeting hundreds of thousands for digital
ads across platforms. And we’re working with local groups to support plans
for other high-visibility tactics like billboards and provide merch for
events to keep up the pressure.

It’s all part of our For the People Project to ensure lasting,
transformative democracy reform. And it relies on support and engagement
from the grassroots -- including the funding that keeps all our work
running. [ [link removed]- ]Donate $10 to place print, radio, and digital ads, buy
statement merchandise, and support pressure tactics -- it'll all help us
eliminate the filibuster, implement real democracy reform, and win all our
priorities.

The filibuster is an anti-democratic tool that’s been used for years to
hold back progress on civil and human rights. Mitch McConnell and the GOP
are intent on keeping it that way so they can block all our priorities
(remember when McConnell called himself “the Grim Reaper” of progressive
legislation?).

It’s simply another form of minority rule -- and as Republican policies
become ever more unpopular, they’re going to be leaning on tactics like
this even harder to retain their power. It’s time to stop them and build a
democracy for the people.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team

P.S. For a little more context on why democracy reform is so important,
check out [ [link removed]- ]this article from Mother Jones on the massive wave of voter
suppression bills rolling through states across the country -- and how
senators like Kyrsten Sinema in Arizona refusing to eliminate the
filibuster puts voting rights in their own states at risk.
