Republicans have made it clear they will stop at nothing to silence Black and Brown voters by bringing back Jim Crow-era voting restrictions.

As we speak, the Georgia GOP is scheming to push more bills through the state legislature that would roll back early voting hours on Sunday, limit absentee voting, and eliminate vote-by-mail options for most Georgians.

That’s why I’m a proud co-sponsor of H.R. 1, the For the People Act — a historic bill the House just passed to expand voting rights, enact nationwide automatic voter registration, end arbitrary voter purging, and get dark money out of politics.

But this bill is in the Senate’s hands now — and it’s on us to rally behind Senate Democrats to pass this bill and put an end to the GOP’s underhanded, anti-democratic tactics for good.

So John, will you join me in demanding that the Senate pass our For the People Act immediately to strengthen our democracy and secure our right to vote?
