I wanted to give you an update on Team Scanlon's March 2021 finances.
 
Our budget is far too low for the work we need to do -- and I'm concerned we're going to fall short of our goal for the first quarter FEC filing deadline at the end of this month. Here's where we're at compared to last month:

I told Mary Gay I'd run the numbers again and figure out how we can close this $25,452 gap in our budget -- but I've got to be honest with you, I'm really stressing out about how we're going to turn this one around in just 10 days.
 
We do not have room to fall short of any of our daily goals. Falling short in March will significantly impact our ability to grow our team, communicate the good work Mary Gay is doing in Washington for families back at home in southeast Pennsylvania, and counter the GOP's attacks against Democrats like Mary Gay who are fighting for progress every day.
 
John, there's no other way to put it: If we don't catch up before our March 31 deadline, Republicans will perceive Mary Gay as an easy target. They'll see the opportunity to invest more in our district so they can unseat her.
 
Southeastern PA is critical to protecting the House majority and growing our numbers in the Senate to ensure President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris have the majority they need to keep fighting for the progressive policies we all need and value. That's why I'm ready to do whatever it takes to make sure we don't fall short again.
 
Before Tuesday night, we set a goal of raising $7,500. So I'm buckling down to make sure we do not fall short -- we just can't.
 
Mary Gay always tells me how much you and every person on our team means to her. Whether you've given your time or a grassroots contribution, we couldn't have gotten to this point without you.
