John, before we ask you to let us know your thoughts on the filibuster, here’s an update on Mitch McConnell’s “work” in the Senate:

Democrats in the House recently passed H.R. 1 -- the For the People Act. The bill strengthens our democracy, ends gerrymandering, and expands voter access. McConnell’s now promising that if Democrats do anything to pass it -- including changing or abolishing the filibuster -- he’ll turn the Senate into a “100-car pileup” to further impede President Biden’s progress.

And it’s not just HR. 1, John. Bipartisan bills like the American Dream and Promise Act and H.R. 8 (universal background checks) are beginning to pile up.

It was just a few years ago that McConnell eliminated the 60-vote threshold to clear the way for Trump’s Supreme Court nominees. When Republicans have power, they don’t care about the rules.
